About the job
We are currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our fantastic Polarium Logistics team. As Logistics Coordinator you will process orders and support and make sure that all our deliveries and shipments run smoothly. Together with your team and colleagues in Supply, Customer Service and Projects you will organize and oversee all our shipping activities. Beyond the operational aspect of coordinating, planning, and executing both in- and outgoing shipments you will be engaged in continuously development of the logistics processes.
Example of the operational aspects of this role are transport bookings, delivery monitoring, KPI’s, handling shipping documents, handling deviation, communication with internal and external stake holders
Responsibilities:
- Align with procurement, Customer Service, Projects, Demand Planners and Warehouse personnel to ensure shipments are prepared and shipped on time
- Book and monitor shipments with the use of relevant booking portals or Polarium’s TMS
- Secure shipping documents according to regulations (e.g., DGD)
- Work in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., LSPs and carriers) to solve operational deviations, monitor performance and propose improvement plans
- Provide support in transport management and lead cost-reduction initiatives
- Prepare accurate reports for management with relevant KPI’s
Qualification and experience:
- BA or MSc in Logistics, Supply chain or Business Analytics
- 2+ years of experience working in logistics management
- Solid knowledge of how to book and monitor shipments
- Experience from both imports and exports
- Experience from working with all modes of transport
- Excellent English, written and oral. Swedish and/or Spanish is a plus
- Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP)
- Pro-active and keen on working in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience from working in a global business is a plus
- Experience from shipping to Africa and Middle east is a plus
- Experience from working with Shipments connected to a Letter of Credit is a plus
- Previous experience from dangerous goods a plus
