Inhouse Logistics China
Scania has decided to install a 3rd industrial hub in China besides the industrial installations in Europe and Latin America. A project within P&L has been initiated to develop and implement this hub. One part of this project is Inhouse logistics, which includes factory feeding, line feeding, and packaging breakdown and will cover the development, procurement, and implementation of the industrial hub in China.
In the project, you will be a part of an exciting journey to in the first step set the base for Inhouse logistics in China and in parallel prepare for the future of In-house logistics with a high level of digitalization and automation within this field.
Logistics Development Engineers Inhouse Logistics
Inhouse Logistics include sub-projects, Line feeding, and Factory Feeding. The 3rd industrial hub in China will include different manufacturing and assembly operations, including Chassis assembly, Cab Assembly, Bodyshop, and Powertrain, with material flow and logistical setup to support these operations. The project is in the implementation phase, and you will have a great opportunity to have an impact on the future of logistics for Scania in China. Your role and scope may vary over time according to the needs of the entire Inhouse Logistics project.
• Logistics preparation to introduce new parts, processes, and projects
• Design platforms layouts, logistic processes, and modular solutions
• Analysis of material stock levels and storage capacity
• Design of material flows, processes, and supply methods
• Investigate equipment to support automated and digitalized flows
• Logistics Flows Simulation
• Material planner, preparations to introduce new parts
You will have an area of responsibility as a project member for one or several projects within Line / Factory Feeding, supporting one or several assembly or manufacturing processes.
Your profile
Interpersonal skills, analytical skills, structure, as well as a high level of flexibility are valued highly since you will have many contact surfaces within different fields of production and logistics. Good teamwork is the key to success in this role. Previous work experience within production and logistics at Scania is desired.
You have a university degree in the field of engineering or logistics, and you are confident in using English as the main work language since we are a diverse project team with different nationalities.
Your location
The project team for Inhouse Logistics is based in Södertälje, and organized under Inhouse Logistics - Industrial Operations China, in Sweden. Shorter and longer business trips to China will occur.
