Job Description
In the role, as Logistics Development Leader, you, based on business needs, work together with the purchase development logistics matrix in projects that will contribute to secure high and stable availability at the lowest cost. You will deliver to the total value chain by leading projects on behalf of the Purchase Development Logistics matrix. Additionally, you will Inspire and empower the New Business Supply Planners workers to perform to the best of their abilities and continuously develop in their assignments

Job Description
In this assignment you will:
• Set up and lead logistics direction and priorities in New Business in Purchasing.
• Through being matrix responsible for New Business Supply Planners contributing to competence development and succession planning.
• Lead and secure common ways of working across the different regions, in terms of the regional logistics tasks (coordination of the Category Logistics Leaders with site/regional leadership).
• Responsible to lead global logistics development initiatives, either through the Category Area teams or directly taking the lead for key logistics projects.
• Represent Purchase Development Logistics matrix in different forums/initiatives initiated by Supply Chain stakeholders.
• Facilitate Logistics competence sharing across the Category Areas.
• Secure close cooperation with Category Area Logistics Managers and Category Logistics Leaders to deliver towards common goals and priorities.
• Active member of the Purchase Development Logistics team, contributing to IKEA Purchasing & Logistics development.
• Act as an ambassador of the IKEA values and role model for fact-based business leadership.
Qualifications
To shine in this role, we wish that you have:
• Understanding of IKEA Business model and IKEA Business model for growth
• Understanding of how your everyday work adds customer value by delivering to Democratic Design
• Good understanding of IKEA Purchasing Manual, IKEA Purchasing Year Cycle and the Governance Structure and IKEA ways or working
• Very good knowledge of the value chain
• Deep knowledge of logistics end-to-end and knowledge of supply chain cost drivers from raw material to customer ´
• Strong knowledge about situational based leadership and leading in matrix dimension
About you
You lead with a holistic view, always act with the Customer, total IKEA and Purchase Development Logistics in mind. You use an entrepreneurial approach together with being analytical and structured, using facts, knowledge & insights. On top of this, you have great stakeholder management – strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to network and create trustful relationships in collaborative processes.
Additionally, you have:
• Capability to lead, develop and inspire people - act as coach and mentor
• Ability to combine working on a strategic level while acting on an operational/tactical level
• Capability to identify and capture business opportunities and deliver results
