We secure that all incoming transportation is optimally designed, established and executed for the entire Volvo Car Group. Are you service and business minded? The role, Logistics Engineer - Exception Handling, is located within the Transport Execution function within the Inbound Logistics organisation and will report to the Senior Manager Transport Execution. The purpose of the Transport Execution function is to ensure inbound transportation execution for production material to plants, warehouses and consolidation centres. This function is critical to manage the timely shipping and arrival of production material for 5 factories on a daily basis, as delayed shipments will lead to production loss. You are responsible for Inbound transportations and for terms being agreed on with carriers, part suppliers and the receiving plant's incoming goods reception. As an Exception Handler you will monitor shipments and handling deviations and exceptions.
Work hours includes 2 shifts operation, where you will work 6-14, 14-22 or regular hours every other week, with night-shift and weekends on stand-by every 7th week.

Main responsibilities

* Exception Handling - monitoring of shipments and handling of exceptions.
* Tracking and tracing of transports
* Handling of exceptions
* Documenting exceptions
* Managing premium freight

Required qualifications

* Proven knowledge and experience of transportation handling, preferably from inbound logistics and/or freight forwarding processes and/or air freight.
* Knowledge of carriers operations.
* An educational degree in logistics preferred.
* Good Swedish and English language skills.
