Logistics Engineer to a global company in the automotive industry!

As a Logistics Engineer you are part of a global supply team that makes sure that the cars they build are delivered to customers at required destinations at expected lead time. To make this happen, they secure that all outgoing transportation is established and executed, cost efficiently and with exact precision, to the entire organisation. The role is operational with responsibility across a wide range of business areas within the organization and is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
 
Main Tasks
• Transport Planning Regional and/or Intercontinental
• Book transports
• Monitor carrier transport performance and act on deviations
• Drive Carrier Management to improve operational performance
• Execute transport documentation for export markets
• Interact with stakeholders within the organization and Importers to address concerns or issues and report feedback regarding process improvements
 
Responsibility
• Monitor KPI’s of appointed carriers and carry out regular reviews
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and internal stakeholders to facilitate a positive working environment
• Ensure support to colleagues when needed/requested and contribute to a positive team working environment

This is a full-time consulting assignment, which means that you will be employed by StudentConsulting and work as a consultant. The assignment plans to start 2021-02-22 and last until 2021-12-31

Din profil
The following qualifications are required:

• Results-oriented and willing to take accountability
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics or supply chain
• Strong customer-focus and service mind-set with the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally
• Experience of managing multiple complex relationships
• Understanding of general freight forwarding rules/regulations e.g. Inco-terms
• Good understanding of transportation documentation and export requirements.
• Ability to communicate findings, make recommendations, and facilitate change
• Ability to take difficult conversations both internally and externally to secure deliverables
 
Personal requirements
• Swedish residency
• Ability to maintain composure whilst under pressure
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent track record as team player
• The ability to work alone or as part of a larger team
• Strong presentation skills
• Strong English and Swedish language skills, spoken and written
• Outgoing, engaging and motivating personality
