Logistics Manager, Sweden

We are looking for an experienced individual to join OUTOKUMPU team as Logistics Manager.
Main purpose of the role is to effectively lead and manage the logistics activities for the Outokumpu units in Sweden. You will deliver value by optimizing the logistics network with the aim to reduced spend, improve on-time delivery and strive for operational excellence. This to be done together with a team of experts in an open and transparent manner.
The position is located in Avesta, Sweden and the new colleague will be reporting to Vice President Logistics Europe.
Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise Logistics planning department and provide consistent leadership to develop the Logistics team performance
Design, implement and maintain optimal transportation system for the region, taking account of capacity, cost, frequency & reliability.
Steer, review and monitor transport flows in the region in respects of quality, costs, availability, sustainability and modality selection.

Finished goods flows
Inbound flows
Contribute to (S)OTIF by minimizing logistic related losses and engaging with wider SCM teams to develop planning routines
Co-ordinate Logistics KPI related performance measurement, reporting and reviews internally and with service providers
Maintain close Interactions with other regional Logistics department in BA Europe
Work closely with other SCM functions S&OP, Value Stream FIN-NL-DE, Value stream SWE and SCM Intelligence team, to ensure close cooperation and a pro-active approach to Logistics and inventory impacts
Manage the operational aspects of ongoing Logistics projects and serve as liaison between project management, project team, and line management
Lead and coordinate the introduction of new work processes and system support

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline
+5 years of experience and extensive knowledge in transport industry
Strong experience and expert skills in collecting and analyzing spend and transport market data in support of transport strategies
Expert in managing stakeholder relationships
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence and convince others
Advanced level of the English language
Strong analytical skills
Focus on business development & continuous improvements
Travelling up to 20% of time
