.We are now looking for a Logistics Procurement Specialist who will be based in the new Nouryon Business Center in Gothenburg. The role will be part of our dynamic EMEIA Procurement team, with colleagues in Sweden and the Netherlands, and provide many opportunities to develop your skills within a global company that is on an exciting growth path.
As Logistics Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for the procurement of a domestic/ international logistic category. This role will also be the owner of the logistics tender tool, thereby supporting the other category specialist in the implementation, execution and analysis of their tenders. The role focuses on EMEIA and supports the logistics categories road, rail, leasing warehousing and international.
We are looking for someone with experience from logistics procurement and tender tools, strong analytical skills, and the ambition to develop and grow within the team and Nouryon.
Main responsibilities
Support development of a coherent regional logistics plan aligned with the Logistics Strategy and the individual businesses logistics requirements
Perform regional procurement of logistics (all aspects; specify, negotiate, contract for specific International & domestic logistics categories
Participate in projects on logistics procurement related topics
Support commercial controls to fully leverage Nouryon’s power in the market to secure maximum benefit to individual businesses
Lead logistics tenders and strategic sourcing activities
Contract development, approval & input to strategic contract review meetings
Lead supplier meetings
Contribute to modelling & simulation, footprint development, logistics mode selection to ensure cross-business synergies and benefits are captured
Assist in logistics procurement reporting to purchase management & business stakeholders
Take ownership of the Logistics tender tool and act as go-to person.
Support Category specialists within all phases of tender process including setting-up tender, execution of various rounds, analysis of outcome and final awarding.
Develop and implement best tender practices.
Maintain key tender documents.

Qualifications
At least 2 years relevant work experience in logistics/supply chain activities, including some procurement experience
Background in logistics operations and HSE requirements (warehousing and transportation)
Experience with lean management methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma
Experience in Sourcing and contract management
Experience with tender tools
Knowledge of Microsoft office tools
Strong analytical & interpersonal skills and ability to influence and guide others
Spoken and written English
