About us
Europe & Brazil Manufacturing is responsible for manufacturing and assembly of cabs, complete trucks for the Volvo and Renault brands in Europe and South America. We have 12 500 employees in Belgium, Brazil, France, Sweden and Russia.
Logistics Product Project Management is a team of 9 skilled professionals within the Logistics organization of GTO Europe & Brazil Manufacturing. Our responsibility includes preparing and supporting implementation of new products, suppliers, new flow introductions, contributing to costs and inventory optimization. The work is done in close cooperation with other departments within GTO, GTT, GTP, Production Logistics and external suppliers.

Position description:
As Logistics Product Project Manager you will be accountable to secure the End to end logistics deliveries in a product project.
We offer an interesting position where you will work cross-functionally within product projects and get experiences which will open opportunities for your long-term development within Volvo. You will be a part of an international team of professionals located in France, Belgium and Sweden, report to the Manager Logistics Product Projects. In product projects you will report to the Group Truck Operations Project Manager (GTO PM) and be part of GTO PMT.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Accountable to secure an optimized E2E logistics flow
Accountable to secure E2E logistics deliveries at each gate of the Global Development Process (DVP)
Supporting the Agile transformation Journey
Identify project specific stakeholders and manage project requirements based on stakeholder demands
Secure that logistics targets and strategies are included in the project prerequisites and implemented
Evaluate and calculate on different concept proposals
Consolidate a complete logistics picture on project resource demand, status report, time plan, budget, Project Assurance Plan, and risks and risk response planning
Coordinate all logistics activities (development, preparation and execution) and supplier implementation
Support and coordinate follow up and challenge commonality between sites
Support and coordinate verification during project build
Be the link between project build and plant regarding parts procurement, support plant logistics team during project build and serial production

We are above all looking for a candidate with a strong self-drive, with willingness to learn and with an open mindset. Logistics, factory and product knowledge is of course assets, but we also encourage applicants from other parts of the Volvo Group with other competences as we are working in a truly Cross Functional environment.
Experience of project management within manufacturing and/or logistics with good project leadership capabilities
Experience/knowledge of the Global Development Process (DVP) and Volvo Production System (VPS)
Experience/Knowledge in Agile/SAFE
Drive for results
Networking skills
Structured, analytic and flexible
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Holistic view and understanding of the typical trade-offs within Supply Chain management
