About the job

As Project Logistics Specialist you'll be responsible for all logistical relevant issues within a project. From planning stage to delivery. You will therefore collaborate with several functions involved in the projects supply chain, such as Procurement, Expediting, Engineering, Project Scheduler and Project Management

You are the main contact for logistics service providers for transportation, customs brokerage, packaging and warehouse. Furthermore, you'll be responsible to select and purchase logistics services. You act as consultant in regard to import and export customs concept to project team, suppliers and customers on demand and interprets the sales agreements and L/C terms and conditions for shipping.

Commonly recurring work tasks:

* Prepares and maintains the Logistics implementation and Logistics plan
* Requests indications and quotations
* Monitors progress of shipment deliveries and informs consignees/ customers in project country in regard to status and is responsible for the export clearance documentation
* Issues L/C invoicing and documentation in cooperation with project management
* Is responsible for project logistics budget and reports deviations to project manager
* Manages equipment / material forwarding schedule with project manager and project scheduler
* Provides transport costs for total cost of purchasing view
* Leads logistics related claims towards Logistics Service Providers



Are you the person we're looking for?

To be a good fit for the job as Logistics Specialist you have prior experience from working with supply chain processes and practices. Preferably you've previously worked as project lead within logistics. You are result driven and have a positive "can-do" attitude.

You have great planning and organisation skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks to make sure deadlines are met to satisfaction for the customer. To collaborate with others and communicate effectively is one of your strengths. You are used to lead negotiations and always strive to build good relations with internal colleagues as well as external contacts, such as customers or suppliers.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in applicable fields, such as business administration, logistics and supply chain
* Operational work experience in project logistics and with Logistic Service Providers
* Relevant working experiences with SAP MM
* Good verbal and written communication skills in English
* High level of computer skills for basic IT tools such as MS O365, SAP, LMS
