Nouryon is transforming our whole logistics organization globally. We have created a Nordic logistic hub in Gothenburg consisting of the two teams Rail & Road and International freight. The international team consists of two teams which you will be responsible for. You will be supported by two supervisors and three senior specialists / contract managers.

You will be located in our brand new Nordic Business Center in Gamlestan, Gothenburg that will open this October.


Main responsibilities
Act as an effective leader of the modality team, build strong relationships and team, commit to the growth of individuals on team, and lead by example
Validate availability and secure transport mode capacity in alignment with expected volumes and forecasts
Support implementation of process improvement and cost reduction measures to drive operational efficiency and service
Work with Trade Compliance to ensure processes are set up properly
Manage relationships with logistics providers, customs brokers and government agencies
Coordinate with Logistics and Business leaders to ensure that performance is aligned with organizational needs
Review accuracy and performance of planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting activities to ensure effective processes and controls are in place



Qualifications
Minimum 7 years’ experience in logistics / supply chain with at least 5 years’ experience managing teams. Experience with chemical companies is preferred
Proven leadership skills including leading a team with clear objectives, results-orientation, change catalyst, and developing people
L6S project management experience – change management has dealt with large organizational transformations
Demonstrated knowledge and leadership experience in managing logistics activities for a functional team
Experience identifying and executing process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing cost and / or improving service level
Experience with carrier relationship management and performance evaluations
Strong understanding of the modal transport market
Strong working knowledge and history of using computers and programs specific to logistics (SAP, TMS, WMS) and to general business management (MS Excel, Word)



Additional information
This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Regional Logistics Hub Manager and based in Gamlestan, Gothenburg. The location will initially be Bohus if the start date is earlier then October 1 when the office moves to Gothenburg.
