Arbetsbeskrivning
With a proud tradition of more than 150 years of pioneering solutions, our Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions business concept has long been based on innovation, technology leadership and customer relationships. To keep up with our vision and values, our ambition is always to drive important shifts and advance the world through engineering and we aim for nothing but excellence in all our mining operations.
Raising the bar even higher in our planning and logistics function within division Rock Tools, we’re now looking for a Logistics Transformation Lead. You’re a forward-thinking and committed logistics pro, who’s ready to take ownership of the way we manage our global warehousing processes and to lead us towards world class logistics operations as we’re implementing a new ERP system. In return, we offer you the chance to be part of something new and exciting – where global networks, innovative thinking and bold ideas lift us to the next era!
About the job
This is a broad role with a dual mission and great opportunities to impact our ways of working with logistics – aiming ambitiously to create a sustainable, efficient and customer-centric manufacturing and supply chain for Rock Tools. Initially, you’re responsible for running the setup and implementation of our logistics flows as we’re moving our data into a new and modern ERP system. You make sure that our logistics operations are well prepared and ready to make the transformation, and you offer both support and training to our team members. You also analyze and investigate how to best create a seamless flow and link our processes to the features and logic of this new system. For this part of the job, you’re involved in a large global project and you overview that we manage every logistic detail to enable a successful system transformation.
Your other mission includes managing all processes and services connected to our global warehousing, where you combine a strategic and hands-on approach that enables us to lift our performance, enhance efficiency, drive standardized ways of working and keep a safety-first agenda. In line with given policies, you plan and implement improvements and process changes, and you set targets that add value, support our business strategy and meet customer needs. A key success factor for both your areas of responsibility is understanding demands and the complex interfaces of our global operations. To have all the input you need, you create strong networks and excellent collaborations with your stakeholders – spanning all the way from our production units and product owners to the sales organization, our suppliers and our end customers. You also work very closely with our Freight Process Owner and the Manager for Packaging Development.
You have flexible working conditions, but for this job your base is preferably in Sandviken, where we have one of our major production hubs. Some travel is normally included to meet with all parts of our global business.
And what about you?
We’re looking for someone with senior experience from logistics, transportation, freight and warehousing. You combine this with an analytical, business-minded approach and you holistically connect the small details into seamless logistics flows. You’re used to taking the lead, driving change projects and interacting with multiple team members and stakeholders across both cultural and geographical borders. This means that you communicate and present information fluently in English, while skills in Swedish and other languages could come in handy.
Your knowledge is grounded by a relevant academic degree – most likely within Logistics – and you have advanced skills in SAP and Office 365, and especially Excel. A genuine understanding of the logic of other ERP software, warehouse management systems and databases is highly valued, and it’s also a plus with skills in data analysis tools, such as Power BI or QlikView.
You’re very skilled at motivating people around you and in creating a strong buy-in towards new ways of working. Although you truly enjoy collaborating and networking, you easily find that independent drive to make things happen on your own. You work in structured yet agile ways, and you take initiatives and multitask to keep momentum in our quest to become world class.
