Looking for an Application Developer, Electrolux

Electrolux We are now looking for a Application Developer to our office in Stockholm.Job description The Application Developer will be responsible for client/server applications like "RACE/REACT" or similar ones in cooperation with other IT colleagues.There will also be many contacts to IT Operations as well as to the business, which owns the applications.The responsibility is to ensure a well running server application, well performing databases, stable batch scripts and interfaces, user-friendly Web-interfaces with security settings and to continue with the software development and programming according to business requirements and international regulations and processes.Key operational responsibilities Work closely with the business to understand their needs and translate the need to IT requirements.take care of new requirements e.g.from the business, analyse and document it.Develop new functions with Microsoft technology like MS SQL Server, IIS Web server and programming languages like VB and .Net.Take care of ongoing application monitoring and optimise existing automation batch scripts.Plan, test and implement application patches and upgrades in cooperation with IT Operations and business.Liaise with IT Operations (e.g.server administration, infrastructure, middleware) in order to solve potential problems, new requirements and ongoing capacity planning.Support the end users in case of logged problems.Take care of user profiles and user security.Fulfil the defined IT processes like Problem Management, System Development Lifecycle, Change Management etc.Be part in international projects reporting to Team Leader Group Treasury IT Requested competence To be interesting to us you should have: Financial knowledge and interest University degree within Financial and/or System Design Team player and ability to work against high-pressure deadlines Microsoft software development technologies like Visual Basic 6 and .Net, HTML, ASP, Java, Java Script, macro languages like in MS Office MS SQL Server 2000/ 2005 usage and administration, SQL-queries, Jobs, DTS packages and Stored Procedures, MS OLAP techniques, MS SQL Reporting Services.Preferably Windows 2000/ 2003 Server administration with IIS Web server, Windows Domain security, basic Network knowledge Additional knowledge of Microsoft Windows clients with Windows 2000/ Windows XP Good data modelling skills with relational databases Basic understanding of Middleware and network technologies Strong English, written and verbal and preferably another major European language Application In this recruitment process Electrolux IT uses Elan as recruitment partner.
