We are currently looking for passionate experienced and result-oriented candidates for the role of a System Developer QGis Level 4 with a professional background and exemplary concepts to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
Our client is looking for a system developer who is an expert in QGis and will primarily provide support to one of the company's developments teams that works with ice mapping.
The procurement's goal is for the company to be able to turn to the consultant for help with architectural work related to the new QGis implementation and existing PostgreSQL database.
The consultant must also be able to assist with best practises for QGis solutions, for example.
The assignment necessitates knowledge of QGis and database integration. The proposed solution should result in high performance and quality, as well as good management.
The primary purpose of the assignment is for the consultant to provide assistance in the development work of replacing the current use of ArcGIS in the company's mapping system. Today, the organisation’s ice mapping system is made up of a number of specially developed ArcGIS plugins that allow users to create and edit ice maps, a database (PostgreSQL), and scripts for data management and product generation. Instead of ArcGIS, the company is developing a new ice mapping system with the open-source software QGIS and intends to keep the database.
It may be necessary to collaborate with other teams and departments within the company that require expert assistance with QGis.


Education, Expertise, and experience requirements:
Competency perquisites for the applicant:
The offered consultant must have at least level four competence.
The offered consultant must have a minimum of three (3) years of QGis work experience.
A consultant must have at least three (3) years of programmatically writing in and reading from a relational database.
The consultant must have created QGis plugins in at least two (2) projects or assignments.
The offered consultant must have worked as QGi's expert on at least two (2) projects or assignments.




Other:
The candidate should also have at least one (1) year of work experience writing QGis plugins in the Python programming language is required for the offered consultant.
The offered consultant should have at least one (1) year of PostgreSQL work experience.
