What do we do?
We work both with current and future technical challenges and play a major part in developing the electrical drivetrains for our vehicles. We focus on HW & SW component development, After Market solutions and advanced engineering. We are also responsible for functional safety, SFMEA and component certification. Our group is passionate about deploying new ways of working and focusing on continuous improvements to stay in the forefront. What will you do?
You will be our Low Voltage Sub - System design engineer to join the Electrical distribution and Charging – DCDC team. In this role you will support the team with deliveries that consider the entire lifecycle of development with participation and/or leading concepts in early phases of the development cycle. Together with your teammates you will steer explorations of alternatives to establish and secure competitive system solutions for the application needs. You will contribute to the development of system architecture roadmaps and will lead AE work on system level. We are closely connected to other teams at Volvo, such as simulation, data analytics, Low voltage battery and system verification.
Who are you?
This position requires an open-minded team player, keen to learn and develop yourself in a technical and personal manner. You are great at adapting to new situations, flexible and good at prioritizing.
You have good knowledge about low voltage system such as low voltage battery and Power management, also you are familiar with complete traction voltage system. Experience from End User Functions is merit.
You need to be comfortable with hosting meetings and talking in front of people.
Requirements:
Master's degree within Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering
Good knowledge in Low voltage system
You have at least three years’ experience within Volvo
End user function understanding
Good understanding of FMEA and SFMEA
Requirement management
Good understanding of Verification and validation
Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written
It is considered a merit if you have experience within one or several of the following;
System Weawer, HiL rigs and testing, functional safety, Experimental system verification
