Job description The Onsite Design Support Engineer will be based on the premises of a major customer of M-Flex in the Southwest of Sweden.The main task is to support the customers local design team in it s day to day business, by providing your expertise and knowledge in the design of Flexible Printed Circuits. This support includes but is not limited to: .Applying M-Flex Design Rules to the customers new designs .Help selecting the most appropriate materials .Stack-up building .Data integrity checking .Support material sourcing .Providing the link into the European office .Interfacing with M-Flex Design Engineers in China and the US .Interfacing with manufacturing in China .Introducing new technologies to the customers Design Engineers .Analyzing prototype builds and providing improvement proposals .Preparing and accomplishing of Milestone reviews within the development cycle In this role you will be working closely with the customers Design Engineers and with the customers Procurement Team.It is mandatory to be resident in the area or to re-locate.You support another Design Team of this customer located in the East of Sweden, therefore the role includes some travelling.Qualifications You hold a Masters Degree or at least a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering or Chemical Engineering.To become successful you need to have several years of work experience with similar tasks in areas like FPC Technology and FPC Materials and Manufacturing Processes, as well as work experience from Design Methodologies and Product Development Cycles and Design tools are required. You need to be fluent in both written and spoken English (Mandarin and Swedish language skills is a merit) and also have the ability to travel and work extra hours.Besides this you are a good communicator and a teamplayer that can't wait to be part of a support-, and development team.
