We have an exciting business, delivering cutting edge products and solutions to our mining and construction customers across the globe. In 2019, Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology had around 14 000 employees within nine divisions, and a total revenue of 45 billion SEK. Working as an M&A Manager with us, you have great chances to get to know and impact our business, while interacting with important stakeholders and building an excellent foundation for future advancement. At the same time, we’re proud to offer you a diverse workplace where innovation, collaboration and flexibility really matters. About the job
In this position, you support us in identifying, analyzing and evaluating possible targets for mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and advise what initiatives and themes we should prioritize. You drive success throughout the entire M&A process - from scouting, due diligence, target setting, negotiation, deal closing and follow up - and you advise us on strategy and tactical performance. You also serve as a technical expert in financial modeling, deal structuring and valuation.
By close collaboration within our business and with functional experts, deal executives, advisors and various key stakeholders, you ensure a comprehensive approach for each deal, including oversight of workstreams and functional tasks, to achieve target value metrics. You engage our division presidents and management teams, including preparing material for CEO and Board, to support the execution of our M&A agenda. Additionally, your understanding of strategic objectives and the ability to provide an early voice on success factors and risks help us develop M&A best practices for the entire Business Area.
This position is based at our Sandvik headquarters - World Trade Center - in Stockholm, and extensive travel is included in your job.

You have extensive knowledge and solid experience from private equity, investment banking and/or corporate finance, preferably in a global and cross-functional setting. We think that you have previously been involved in at least 10 successful transactions and undertaken >50 due diligence processes. We operate worldwide, and you must be both aware and open-minded towards the cultural differences you encounter. This also means that you need great communication skills, and you’re fluent in English.
Other important skills include:
The ability to perform financial analysis, modeling and valuations, as well as a good understanding of tax and legal issues
A strong M&A toolbox, including knowledge of M&A principles and concepts such as target scouting, synergy sizing, deal structuring and negotiations
Great stakeholder management references

You’re investigative, collaborative and flexible, and you combine this with a strategic outlook and the ability to take actions. You’re know for balancing independency with team work, and by communicating with our stakeholders, inspiring change and following up on our work, you make sure we reach profitable results. You’re resourceful in uncovering information from available sources, have great organizational skills and attention to details. You’re also confident and engaging, and you embrace feedback, new perspectives and share knowledge with others.
