M&A Manager

M&A Manager

Arbetsbeskrivning

Sandvik Machining Solutions (SMS), part of the Sandvik Group, is the market leader for advanced, productivity-enhancing products and solutions for metal cutting. We constantly strive to improve our ways of working to meet the challenges of today’s market – and, perhaps even more importantly, the challenges of the future. With local presence in 150 countries, approx. 40 billion SEK in annual turnover, and more than one terabyte of machine data generated every second, Sandvik Machining Solutions aspires to help its 100 000 industrial customers increase productivity, embrace digital transformation and adopt new manufacturing technologies. With a clear strategy to grow through acquisitions, the SMS M&A Team is in the center of the efforts to build on Sandvik’s deep industrial expertise to enter new fields such as software, additive manufacturing and metrology.
The team works very closely with our divisions in their drive for add-on acquisitions, and with increased M&A activity we need to strengthen this team. In light of this, we’re now searching an M&A Manager to amplify our capacity to run multiple projects in parallel.
This position is based in Stockholm.
Your mission
SMS is uniquely positioned to combine industrial knowledge and experience with cutting-edge advances in machine learning, artificial intelligence and digital user experiences to create compelling, customer centric solutions to big problems. Just as important as working closely with Sandvik Machining Solutions’ divisions in their drive for add-on acquisitions, is being a partner to our newly formed business area segment Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions, focusing on software and additive manufacturing.
As M&A Manager, you’re responsible for all stages from screening to integrating companies. In the mission to manage all parts of a transaction, you act in close collaboration with your peers in your senior M&A team. You take ownership of several projects and are a driving force that ensures momentum and quality throughout the process.
Being accountable for the M&A process, you lead negotiations, due diligence and coordination with all internal stakeholders. In addition, you assist our business with screening through external stakeholders such as investment banks, consulting firms and other partners. As an area expert, you’re of course able to collect information and draw conclusions from all necessary analysis required in any M&A transaction, with emphasis on deep understanding of accounting and valuation.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with five to ten years’ M&A experience from a leading investment banking firm or similar. It’s also advantageous with a background in a similar M&A role within a global matrix organization. Previous experience from the manufacturing industry or the technology sector is beneficial. As we’re a global player, you communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
We consider integrity, openness and accountability as cornerstones for us to deliver value in both short and long term. We also appreciate your ability to work both independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment. You’re exceptionally good at prioritizing and responding to changing demands from multiple sources, and you have a sincere desire to learn and grow in your role, as well as to inspire continuous improvement. With your outstanding people skills, you easily interact and build networks with stakeholders at all levels.
