M&A Real Estate - Partner

A well-known investment bank is looking to expand by hiring a partner to drive their Real Estate practice.

Your challenge:


Originate new business mandates in terms of real estate transactions and financing
Pitch ideas / cases to potential clients supported by innovative off balance sheet financing
Liaise with other departments of the investment bank to utilize the strength of the distribution network to drive M&A, ECM and DCM transactions
Source mandates with investors to strengthen their purchasing power in terms of acquisition finance with debt products including bonds, structured finance as well as equity financing
Work closely with participating banks in club deals
Monitor and supervise valuations of businesses in real estate using a variety of methodologies, including relative valuation techniques and discounted cash flow analyses, and presenting and discussing the results
Analysing industry and sector trends, commercial analysis of individual businesses and case studies of transactions; Collating comments from clients and other advisers on materials produced and producing revised materials, with liaison with the relevant regulatory bodies if appropriate
Transaction process management, supporting Associates / Vice Presidents to ensure parties keep to deadlines, and that legal, accounting and other process issues are anticipated and addressed
Supervising staff in collating comments from clients and other advisers on materials produced and revising those materials, with liaison with the relevant regulatory bodies if appropriate.




Your profile:


You are a well-known professional in the Nordic Real estate sphere
Educated to an University Degree level preferably with a bias on real estate
Extensive experienced in DCM, ECM and M&A i.e. able to understand the implications of IPOs, debt instruments and equity financing transactions in a real estate context
You have a strong existing network among international and domestic investors, private equity, pensions funds, institutional investors, banks and family offices who frequently are involved in big ticket transactions
Ability to apply detailed financial modelling and analysis including valuation and assessing the financial impact of transactions, if and when necessary
Confident in presenting to a large audience and a strong networker
Excellent written and spoken Swedish & English
Critical and independent thinker / analytical / logical and reasoned
