Klarna continues to rapidly grow, requiring our IT Support department to expand in personel and technological reach. This is why we?re looking to complement our department with a Mac support engineer.
As a Mac Support Engineer you take responsibility with respect to all aspects of Mac support (Desktop, Server & Network) including setting standards for the architecture, design, integration and implementation, installation, operation, maintenance, decommissioning of hardware & software, security and support of enterprise-wide desktop services. You will supervise the provision of desktop support to internal customers at Klarna promoting a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities
- To undertake the installation and maintenance of Mac desktops and mobile devices ensuring that this is done to agreed procedures
- To ensure that software distribution, patch management and upgrades can be managed centrally.
- To consider issues relating to security, data backup, disaster recovery and virus control.
- To undertake project work assigned by the manager
- To maintain an awareness of developments in the industry and participate in the sharing of knowledge and ideas across the department
Job Specific Skills and Attributes
- Strong and demonstrated enterprise experience in desktop troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, migration planning, design and implementation.
- A thorough understanding of both OS X client and server
- A thorough understanding of networked computer resources (including PCs, Macs, printers and servers)
- Comprehensive experience with managing 100+ machines with centrally managed deployment solutions
- Experience in Mac OS X Directory Services integration with AD
- Proficiency in UNIX command line including Shell scripting and AppleScript
- Knowledge of modular deployment methodologies and image maintenance
- Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, OS X 10.7 Lion and OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, Mavericks OS X 10.9 (client and server).
- Mac OS X administration: Server Admin, Remote Desktop, NetBoot/NetInstall, DeployStudio.
- Proficient in supporting Mac applications including but not limited to; Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Apple Mail, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong demonstrated experience with Active Directory and laptop/desktop/printer hardware architecture.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Strong documentation skills and the ability to transfer knowledge to peers.
