It will be practically impossible for human brains to understand how to run and optimize next generation of wireless networks, i.e., 5G+ networks with distributed edge compute, that will drive economic and social transformation for all aspects of society. Machine Learning (ML) and other Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies will be vital for us to handle this opportunity.

Ericsson Global AI Accelerator (GAIA) is a unit that has been set up to accelerate our AI and Machine Learning offerings. This central unit is chartered with the responsibility of building a high-end competence centre that brings together a team of high-end Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Software Engineers and Machine Learning Architects towards the goal of enhancing Ericsson’s products and services portfolio with AI capabilities.

GAIA Sweden is focused on development of models, frameworks and infrastructure where we in our advancements push the technology frontiers to improve our current products and offerings. We engage in both academic and industry collaborations and drive the digitalization of Ericsson and the Industry by developing state of the art solutions that simplify and automate processes in our products and services and build new value through data insights.

We have a distributed team of dedicated data scientists and data engineers, chartered to accelerate the transformational journey for our customers and their customers. GAIA is established in the US, Canada, Sweden and India, with around 300 experts to fast-track our strategy execution.

The team in GAIA Sweden, located in Kista, work with scientists, engineers and operators around the world to build ground-breaking solutions and models that drive economic growth in the real world.

Ericsson is hiring an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to expand its Global AI Accelerator team in Sweden.

What you will do
The team will design, implement, and test end to end ML Pipelines, products and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment. We use CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Delivery & Deployment) flow and philosophy.

You will work with
E2E ML Pipeline development
Cloud Native Development for AI and ML
Cloud/Container networking
Enabling ML/DevOps/GitOps with fast feedback-loops.
Private/Public Clouds
Containers & Virtualization: Kubernetes, Docker, Helm
Service Based Architecture, Microservices
Git, GitLab, Gerrit & Jenkins


You will bring
M.Sc. or Ph.D degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or similar.
Proficiency in relevant software languages and technologies such as GoLang, Python, C/C++ etc.
Proficiency in English, written and spoken
A talent for software development and computer systems
Be a phenomenal teammate, willing to share knowledge and learn from others
Ability to continuously build competence through experience, reading and experimentation
Affinity for fixing and solving sophisticated problems
Focus and ambition to understand customer needs
Competence in test case development and execution is valuable.
