We have over 14 million users all over the world who have logged more than 12 million catches in our app. We’re growing rapidly, both in our social network and in the company, which is why we’re looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our pond. We hope that it’s you.
In this role you will be part of the Machine Learning and Data team. You will have a big impact on the practice and strategy of our machine learning and data science. The products you build will have a great impact in the company and also on our users.

Location:
This position can be based anywhere in Europe, due to the time zone aspect, as our headquarter is based in Stockholm, Sweden.


Your daily work will involve:
Train, evaluate and deploy deep learning models that help our users catch more fish
Develop and improve our features such as Spot prediction, Species recognition, BiteTime and more
Cooperate with cross-functional product teams of engineers, product managers, and designers who are passionate about our user experience
Bring your ideas to production together with product teams or by yourself
Perform analysis on large sets of data to extract impactful insights on user behavior that will help drive product and design decisions
Drive other improvements where machine learning and artificial intelligence could be used to gain more insights and data.
Collaborate with researchers throughout the world to better understand fish populations and behavior.


What we are fishing for:
Relevant experience of minimum 2 years putting ML models into production.
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with popular machine/deep learning packages (e.g. scikit-learn, pytorch, tensorflow)
Solid theoretical knowledge of machine learning models and algorithms
Know how to understand and tackle loosely defined problems and come up with relevant answers and impactful insights
Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders
Curious and interested in learning new things, and likes to share knowledge with colleagues.
Statistical competence (such as regression modeling, a/b testing, significance testing etc) and experience of working with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is an advantage
