Arbetsbeskrivning
Join us on our journey to net zero. We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer OBM/OBD to join our R&D team.
At Aurobay, we are re-imagining motion for a brighter tomorrow. That means challenging accepted beliefs and pushing the boundaries of what you’ve done before. But you won’t have to do it alone. You’ll be working alongside fantastic people who are caring and collaborative, with a global mindset, and a commitment to creating excellence.
Do you fit the profile?
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you’ll be helping to shape the future of sustainable powertrain development. Our team currently consists of six data scientists, SW engineers, and model-based calibration engineers. We develop new methods for measurement data collection and analysis to help R&D become more efficient and data driven. We also work closely with other advanced engineering teams.
You will use the data we are collecting in our rigs to build models for predicting engine emissions of hazardous species. The models can be used both offline in the development phase, and on the edge for On-Board Monitoring (OBM) and On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) in our customer vehicles. As part of this job, you’ll have the opportunity develop your own machine-learning projects together with the rest of the team. We give our engineers the freedom and time for their own projects, to try out new ideas and fine-tune their skills.
You will also:
- Train and evaluate ML models for predicting emissions
- Work closely together with subject matter experts to align data/measurement requirements and incorporate physical models into the model
- Optimize algorithm memory and CPU load for predictions on the edge together with function developers
What we offer
Although we are proud of our heritage at Volvo Cars and Geely, this is a start-up environment, where you’ll be helping to create the Aurobay of tomorrow. You’ll get plenty of both formal and informal opportunities for learning and development. Joining Aurobay will give you a platform for personal and professional development, and a springboard for your future career.
What you’ll get
We’re passionate about sharing our success and making sure you’re well rewarded, from pay and bonuses to the company pension. Our benefits are designed to improve your life at work and at home, with health and wellbeing support, life and travel insurance, and a timebank you can use to flex your work-life balance:
- Competitive salary
- Wellness contribution of up to SEK 5 000/year
- A personal and professional development scheme to support your growth.
- Want to drive a car? - Discount to buy a car, and a competitive leasing cost for a company car.
- Additional pension funding.
- Competitive additional and full-cover insurance.
- Other benefits through an industry-leading portal: health and wellness, bicycle, electronics, shopping, to name a few.
What you’ll need
- A master’s degree or higher in data science, mathematics, statistics, physics or relevant fields.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Julia, or MATLAB.
- Experience in ML algorithms such as linear regression, artificial neural networks, and boosted decision tree regression.
Nice to have experience in
- Time series modeling, especially ML algorithms that can be used for time series such as recurrent neural networks, convolutional neural networks, or transformers
- Internal Combustion Engines
- Chemical models for catalytic converters
- Embedded systems
We encourage diversity and believe that the different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives our people bring make us stronger as a company.
