DeLaval is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to our Data Science Team
A modern dairy farm is a goldmine when it comes to data. Sensors in milking equipment, in robots, and even attached to cows collect tons of data every day. Add video to this, and we have a fantastic opportunity to monitor the status and the well-being of both cows and machines. Using this data in the right way we can help farmers around the world to run their operations in a more efficient and environmental friendly way.
We are now looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to our Data Science Team. Since we like our teams to have an end to end responsibility, you will be working with data gathering, data cleaning, analysis, model iteration and also model supervision. This is a job where you clearly can see how your code will help the end customer to make better decisions every day. A trip to a farm now and then will also give you a better understanding of the environment and the problems we have to solve.
Main tasks:
Gather, clean and analyze data
Develop, iterate and maintain Machine Learning model
Continuously develop and refine our way of working with data and models
Qualifications:
Master degree in Computer Science; Engineering Physics, Mathematics, or similar
Solid programming skills
Big interest in Machine Learning and data handling
Experience from the Dairy industry
Tools: Python, TensorFlow, Keras, Docker, etc
Cloud: AWS or similar
Personal competences:
Collaborative mind-set
Ability to excel in an agile small team environment
Enjoy data engineering as much as modelling
Curiosity and out-of-the-box thinking
Not afraid of getting hands dirty on a dairy farm from time to time
We offer you:
An opportunity to work in a creative and dedicated team that creates, develops and maintains Machine Learning models.
An exciting position at the forefront of technology in a market leading company with customers all over the world.
A possibility to work with software development and data analysis in a different and fun area of application where you solve real world problems – the opposite of counting clicks on a screen. We also have full access to tons of data from both machines and cows.
The position will be located in Tumba, Stockholm, and reports to Björn Wiklander, Manager Data Science & Machine Learning. The job may occasionally require some travel to test farms, in Sweden and abroad.
Welcome with your application (in English), we will review applications continuously and the last day to apply is 2022-04-06
