The Innovation and Technology Management Team is responsible for setting up and driving the integration of Volvo Cars' overall machine learning strategy. Our work is cross-functional, coordinating the development of product applications and services with direct or indirect connection to our cars. The department also handle competence growth and collaborations within the field of machine learning.

We are looking for Machine Learning Specialists to create new innovative machine learning enabled services and applications. You will be part of a creative and fast paced team of specialists within the machine learning domain, a team with mandate and responsibility to make a difference. Required qualifications
.MSc/PhD in statistics, engineering, machine learning, data mining, computer science, applied mathematics or other relevant field. Or proven experience achieved by other means.
.Knowledge of advanced statistics, recent machine learning methods as e.g. Deep learning, support vector machines, reinforcement learning etc.
.Experience of extracting high level logical structure from low level, multi-dimensional data
.Experience from building and validating models and algorithms
.Experience in practical implementation, in e.g. Python & R

Meritorious
.Knowledge of usage of machine learning and advanced statistical models in different disciplines as e.g. R&D, manufacturing, quality, marketing and sales is seen as very beneficial
.Knowledge in adequate tools, operating systems and back bone structures
.Industrial experience is regarded as an advantage
