Arbetsbeskrivning
This is an opportunity to be part of a team that has an vital impact in modern healthcare. Join us as our new Machine Learning Specialist and develop new and innovative predictors to improve subtype classification in cancer and other diseases.
What we do
At Qlucore, we develop software to transform complexity into clarity in clinical diagnostics and bioinformatics. Genetic information is a key data source.
The clinical diagnostics solutions for multi-omics companion and precision diagnostics include AI-powered, disease-specific machine learning based classifier models and are combined with user-friendly visualizations in an easy-to-use and cost-effective software solution.
The clinical diagnostics solutions build on the bioinformatics software Qlucore Omics Explorer that has been on the market since 2007, and is referenced in more than 1000 scientific articles.
You will
You will be part of a data science team consisting of ML developers, bioinformaticians and software engineers working with algorithm and software development for precision diagnostics. As a Machine Learning Specialist, you will use your expertise to create groundbreaking algorithms that employ machine learning to build predictors from Next Generation Sequencing data. The impact? Smarter solutions for faster, more precise cancer diagnoses leading toward better healthcare outcomes overall.
The role requires you to be comfortable working in the full ML development lifecycle; from hypothesis and raw data processing, choice of method, development and evaluation of different ML models with performance measures and rigorous cross-validation methods, to production setting and MLOps.
Some of your tasks and areas of responsibility will include:
- Developing and applying methods to analyze large-scale NGS data for precision medicine of cancer and other diseases
- Using and developing unsupervised and supervised machine learning (AI/ML) methods
- Playing a leading role in ML projects
- Working with new developments and evaluating new AI methods, both statistical and neural networks
- Collaborating with external partners, such as internationally leading research groups in the disease areas that we are active within
