Bravit AB is a newly formed business entity specializing in food grade products. Our target markets are Sweden and the neighboring countries in Scandinavia, Baltics and Eastern Europe. The head office is located in Stockholm and we are in the process of setting up the production facility nearby and it is expected to be ready for production in the early part of the year 2020. We are looking to recruit skilled and experienced Machine Operators to help us build our ambitious plan and deliver high quality products to our consumers.
Job Summary – Machine Operator.
The Machine Operator is responsible for primarily managing the production process, monitoring the machines, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and delivering quality and maintaining the efficiency levels. They will work closely with other production personnel, Quality Assurance teams, Logistics team members and other functions as deemed necessary. The role will report to the Production Manager.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Setup and operate multiple packaging machines and monitor their operation during the shifts.
Check and ensure that products are weighed, sealed, coded and labeled with minimal wastage.
You will inspect machines, conveyors and scales prior to line start-ups & prior to the changeovers.
Managing the smooth transition from one production batch to another while paying due attention to details.
Monitoring the daily production quantities and meeting the targets.
Leading the troubleshooting process as and when needed. Closely working with supervisors and maintenance teams to overcome the issues.
Carrying out regular maintenance and preventive maintenance which includes cleaning of machine objects like knives, blades, conveyor belts, rollers and other ancillaries.
Ensures correct packaging materials are used for each product, in accordance to specifications, and replenishes materials as needed (i.e. roll of film, labels).
Ensures appropriate labelling and coding pattern is followed by the packers prior to the palletization.
Perform periodic quality checks to ensure packing and packaging meets the standard specifications.
Helps the team in the movement of packaging and product raw materials from storage to production and the finished goods to the dispatch area.
Ensures that the relevant documentation is completed in due diligence in a legible manner and is kept updated regularly.
Ensuring that the safety standards are met and incidents and learnings are recorded.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Education and Prerequisites.
Machine Operator Technical Degree
Minimum of 5 years experience in Operating Food Packaging Machines.
Should be a team player learning and contributing to others knowledge and personal growth.
Flexible personality who can successfully adapt to the situational demands.
Should be able to multi task and use the resources effectively.
Ability to learn and monitor the Key Performance Indexes (KPI’s) for production, quality and safety.
Positive and cheerful attitude will be a bonus.
