We are looking for you who want to shoulder the role of Mainframe Specialist for our mainframe teams within If Sweden.
Job description
The role as Mainframe Specialist means both to be a local spearhead in Sweden for the platform but also to support various Mainframe units in the Nordic region. In Sweden you will work together with the 3 mainframe teams we have there and support / act as an internal technical consultant in the management and development of our mainframe systems for insurance and claims administration. You are also included as one of several Mainframe Specialists in the Nordic specialist team. There you are expected to be in contact with developers, administrators and mainframe technicians. Many times you will get involved when it comes to changes within the platform or when it becomes complicated and requires structured problem solving. Your role involves both keeping yourself informed about what is happening in the mainframe world, but also spreading this knowledge to your colleagues.
Profile
We see that you have several years of experience and a good understanding of the operating system. You may have worked as a system programmer and / or worked with the installation of software on the platform. With us, the development work is mostly conducted with COBOL. But if you have experience of working with Assembler and Rexx script, that is a big plus. We work with CICS, IMS, DL / 1, DB2, JCL. You should feel comfortable with both Swedish and English.
You are self-employed and senior in the Mainframe area with a genuine interest in technology. Working in a group feels as natural to you as taking responsibility for activities and tasks on your own. You are a driving force in the way you work and want to both teach yourself new things but also contribute your knowledge to others in order to create a better whole. Documenting is an obvious part of the work for you. Important qualities are curiosity, ability to see opportunities and willingness to participate in and influence change. As we work close to the business, it is an advantage if you have an interest in the business, are service-oriented, outward-looking and communicative.

The role is Nordic so travels to our other offices are a part of the role, however you will be stationed in our head office in Stockholm, Sweden.
