Are you an experienced or Maintenance Automation Engineer inspired by innovation and keen on being a part of maintain automation solutions for our production site in Karlskrona? Then we might have the right job for you! In this role you will be a resource within Production Technology Maintenance and support our production department on automation and electrical topics.
Take part in further developing NKT´s unique automation systems
The Production Technology aim to be in the forefront of technology and have developed globally unique automation systems used in our cable management. You will be part of, and also take lead in troubleshooting mainly focused on automation problem or electrical, but you will also be an important support function to the production department.
In this role, you will be the expert on automation and electrical design with great knowledge on this topic as well as on machine directive and other standards. You will also be an important part in the automation department at Production Technology Maintenance.
Your primary tasks will be:
• PLC programming and electrical design on machines and production equipment.
• Continues improvements on our machines regarding automation & optimize our machinery.
• Troubleshoot on automation circuits & electrical circuits (advanced faults)
• Support our industrial electricians regarding troubleshooting on automation systems
• LCA & RCA are some tools you’ll be working with.
• Using habits of start-ups for frequency converters or plc devices
As Maintenance Automation Engineer at NKT you’ll be a part of the Production Technology Maintenance team in Karlskrona; well experienced in maintenance and automation & electrical services. In Karlskrona we have a state of the art manufacturing facility for manufacturing high voltage and extra high voltage power cables, the largest HVDC test lab in the world and Victoria, our cable laying vessel.

We are looking for a skilled maintenance automation engineer expert with high quality workmanship who is curious and eager to learn new things. You thrive in a role with high level of collaboration with your team colleagues as well as with other departments.
To succeed in this role, you need to be thorough and appreciating taking responsibility for your own work and its output. Since HSE is NKT:s highest priority and our baseline for everything we do it is important to adapt to this thinking and to learn to live with high HSE focus in all situations.
Additionally, your CV comprises:
• Solid experience in automation engineering, programming and project from any producing industry
• Knowledge in Eplan, ABB, Siemens and other automation software.
• Fluency in spoken and written Swedish and English is mandatory
