What does maintenance mean to you? Fix old broken equipment to work for another week or ensure that a high-tech development department can deliver. We are looking for a mechanical Maintenance Engineer at Powertrain Engineering Sweden to help us lead and develop the maintenance of our existing and upcoming Testing laboratories. Facility and test cells maintenance are an important part of the development work to create conditions to develop the world’s best powertrains for trucks, buses, marine and construction equipment. Our team ensures laboratory performance and quality through our maintenance and service of equipment and all media systems for the complete Powertrain Engineering Sweden.
In your role as a Maintenance Engineer with focus on mechanical maintenance on engine, transmissions & electromobility test cells, you will be the main responsible for our maintenance support in this area. As we work team oriented, you will never standalone if you face challenges you feel that you need support to solve. The team is a mix of process engineers, electronic service engineers, maintenance mechanics and welder.
In cooperation whit the laboratory staff you will be the one who drives the work to implement, perform preventive/corrective maintenance and condition monitoring on test cells and process equipment.
Facility/test cell maintenance are in a focused phase of improving our preventive maintenance work to reach superior uptime in our testing’s facilities for engines, component, driveline, transmissions and electromobility test cells. We hope you are the one to join us!
Main Responsibilities
Lead planning, prepare, work-management and follow-up of the preventive and corrective maintenance for process and test cell equipment in consultation with colleagues and customer / lab support organizations
Together with our maintenance mechanics lead the work of performing risk assessments, installation, troubleshooting and maintenance on: motors, gearboxes, pumps, conditioning units, fans, control / regulation systems, torque sensors, bearing lubrication etc. / other rig equipment
Responsible for develop, maintain routines and instructions as well as preventive maintenance plans for our process and test cell equipment documented in our maintenance system Maintmaster
Ensure that we reach targeted availability levels and proper operating conditions for engine & transmission & electromobility testing test cells
Participate in lab request modification projects where you benefit from your broad mechanical experience
Participate in investment projects as a technical representative or as a requirement in projects
Participate in procurements regarding service agreements for our process and tes cells equipment and drive or implement and run business development activities in operational safety and maintenance
Lead and take part in root cause analysis
Monitor the operation and safety of all our process and media system with the help of our monitoring process system IFIX
Lead the work of hired service contractors and manage the procurement and follow-up of completed services and spare parts
Monitor and ensure that government inspections are carried out and follow up the results
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
We are looking for you who have a technical/mechanical/marine engineering education with solid experience in mechanical applications. Our best candidate has several years of experience in hands-on with electronics, hydraulics and mechanics in similar industries such as production plant, machine commander from the marine, automotive or process industry
University degree BSc. Engineer within Marine, Mechanical engineering or similar relevant proven technical experience
Operating test cells is a big advantage
Preventive & corrective maintenance on dyno, motors, gearboxes, process Water system, cooling systems, Heating systems, conditioning, humidity, ventilations and pump units
Developing, maintain routines and instructions for preventive maintenance of Process / other rig equipment to secure operation
Using and develop functions (desirable) in iFIX SCADA or similar process monitoring systems
Project management of smaller projects and technical support for the other activities in the development of new lab equipment
Well spoken and written Swedish and English
Risk assessments
B driving license
Forklift driving license
