Do you want to work for a world-leading company in the railway industry? Alstom Sweden is looking for an ambitious Maintenance Engineer to our projects in Motala.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for all technical content e.g. review of changes in maintenance instructions, added maintenance activities, deviations in material and vehicle design, etc. The main current project is maintenance of X61 Coradia fleet in Sweden which is a heavy maintenance program performed after 1, 2 and 3 Mkm in traffic and includes overhaul of different subsystems and components on the train.

Responsibilities
General accountabilities:
Manage the technical contractual scope of the project
Be responsible of the project design and application of engineering activities
Manage the Configuration and Design Change Management of the Project
Deploy the applicable engineering process, methods & tools on the project
Capture and ensure ownership of regulations and standards to be applied


Technical administration
Develop the work instructions and processes from the maintenance plan and maintenance manuals.
Develop and maintains task lists and BOM (bil of material) from the maintenance plan
Provide all technical documents to the project core team members and assure the update of the technical documentation of the project
Solve technical issues detected by different core team members


Maintenance program management
Manages the technical performances of the systems and provide Rex to relevant Services Platform.
Optimize the scope and related tasks of the Maintenance plan.
Detect, define, and implement the modifications of the maintained products to improve the reliability and serviceability, to reduce project costs and improve the performances of the systems.
Support the Product Safety management system ensuring safety risks are mitigated in a timely manner.
Manage Obsolescence Plan.
Interface with the stakeholders in the Certification processes.
Analyse the technical performances of the systems and the efficiency of the maintenance plan and processes, promoting action plans to improve them.
Develop standardized tools/processes improving efficiency in maintenance activities.
Analyse failure criticality studies and uses RCM (Reliability centred Maintenance) and other available methodologies to define and optimize the maintenance requirements, tasks, and intervals.
During project warranty, coordinate actions to support resolution of pending technical issues following Project Warranty Manager (PrWM) requirements


Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Science Subjects.
At least 3-4 years of relevant work experience.
Technical knowledge in railway is highly valued.
Used to working with technical standards and regulations.
Used to working in customer projects and in teams.
Good communication skills, thorough and responsible.
Collaborative, enterprising and problem-solving oriented.
Unhindered in Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
