Maintenance Engineer to AkzoNobel, Alby

AkzoNobel Pulp and Performance Chemicals is a leading global force in pulp bleaching technologies, colloidal silica and expandable microspheres. We provide innovative and sustainable products and technologies that are widely used by customers in a large variety of industrial applications.

Bleaching Chemicals is one of three global sub business units within AkzoNobel Pulp and Performance Chemicals. We are the world's largest manufacturer of sodium chlorate and one of the largest producers of hydrogen peroxide. We supply essential chemicals to the global pulp industry and other selected industries from 24 locations worldwide.
Both Sodium Chlorate and Hydrogen Peroxide are produced at the Alby site, which is located just outside Ånge in Västernorrland. Around 100 people are employed in Alby.


We want to reach maintenance in world class at our site. Therefore we are now looking for a maintenance engineer mainly responsible for reliability and continuous improvement in automation area. This is a new role, reporting directly to Maintenance Manager.

Responsibities
This role will be key role to improve the overall long term maintenance costs and maintenance replacement capex requirements. Since we will focus more on continous improvement at our site you will be responsible for reliability and continuous improvement, seen from a maintenance perspective.

-Identifies bad actors with plants constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems by using RCPS in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement
-Ensures best practices are documented by SWS and wide spread within site
-Support department manager to complete the yearly maintenance budget, as well as the long term asset budget
-Develops and maintains reliability performance through establishing KPIs
-Provides technical expertise and training support in automation from a maintenance view.
-Lead continuous improvement projects

Job Requirements/Profile
-Bachelors degree in technical area or equivalent.
-Some years experience of maintenance
-Good skills in Swedish and English, writing and oral communication
