Maintenance Manager

Our previous Maintenance Manager has been promoted to a new position within company and we’re now searching for their replacement.
In this role you will be based in Torshälla (Sweden) and lead the site’s maintenance function. You will ensure that your team has the necessary competencies to fulfil their duties in the near term, but also to improve our methods of working, capacity, and results for the long term. This role includes an exciting degree of influence where you can truly be a part of shaping the future of the stainless-steel industry and Outokumpu as the world leader of stainless steel.

Your role
Leading the maintenance function, with 5 direct reporting managers and a total of 44 employees
Ensure a safe workplace for all employees within your function
Set, implement and follow up the site’s maintenance strategy
Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance on the site
Ensure correct inventory of necessary spare parts and consumables
Set and follow up maintenance-related cost and budget every year
Collaborate closely with procurement in contractor selection
Ensure that KPIs for the maintenance function are developed, followed and reported
In line with our strategy – increase the proportion of preventive activities while keeping maintenance cost-effective
Ensuring the path forward for the site by being an active member of the site’s management team

Further qualifications
University degree in engineering/ experience we see as equal
Leadership ability – preferably you’ve previously managed a team in a similar industry
Ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish & English
