Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

 

Belonging to the same organisation within Scania IT handling datalake, analytics and information management, the Business Intelligence (BI) group works with development and maintenance of BI applications for Scania globally. We develop solutions for all processes and internal customers of Scania and we maintain these through our on-site resources as well as with the help of our offshore team based in India. The group consists of Maintenance managers, data warehouse developers and report/visuallisation developers working with the latest agile methods. We are eager to get more people on-board to help the customers within Scania take fact-based data-driven decisions through the use of modern BI solutions!

 
The role:

You are responsible for ensuring that the application portfolio that come under your management are implemented with quality, according to the customer’s needs and Scania’s IT requirements. You ensure that system changes and development activities are planned and communicated, incidents are handled within the agreed timeframe and that action is taken to prevent future occurrence. You set plans and roadmaps for the BI portfolio together with Scania IT's other units as well as the business representatives. Planning, prioritisation and monitoring of development activities for our sprint planning cycles are key activities, to ensure that we do the things that create most value for Scania.

The role is broad and spans over technical as well as business/financial aspects. It will gain you a thorough understanding of the business area which you will serve as well as a strong foundation for further development within Scania IT.


Skills and Experience:


• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong coordination / project management skills 
• Ability to communicate with both technical staff (developers) as well as business 
• Ability to translate business needs into IT related solutions
• Experience of agile methods is a plus, as well as knowledge in BI tools (e.g. PowerBI, Qlik) or data warehouse technologies
• Strong English language skills
