Maintenance Technician

Ocado Smart Platform (OSP) is an end-to-end online retail platform combining micro-service based software with modular and scalable hardware. At the heart of this is our Automated Engineering, Maintenance and Robotic Repairs team who play an important part in the solution. Based on-site in Kungsängen within the Greater Stockholm region they are key in maintaining an operation that delivers our partners expectations, whilst providing pivotal feedback to internal teams that enable future development of our products.
The Engineering Team are responsible for all of the day to day reactive and planned engineering maintenance activities as well as improvement works at the Customer Fulfilment Centre on MHE; such as conveyors, Electrical, Machine Network, Electromechanical, Inverters and motors, lifts, cranes, belts, etc.
Roles and Responsibilities may include:
Carrying out planned maintenance across the site in an accurate, timely and safe manner ensuring maintenance procedures are followed
Update records of work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores and training given
Work closely with manufacturers, suppliers and internal departments in finding ways to improve process and increase machine reliability and performance
Respond to and diagnose equipment breakdowns, resolving issues and action repairs
Perform daily housekeeping and cleaning duties of equipment and Analyse data to find solutions to improve MHE performance, providing reports where necessary - PLC experience preferable but not essential .
Complete quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard and always work to and follow all Health and Safety guidance
What are we looking for from you?
Some technical Maintenance ability and understanding relating to automation hardware and software would be preferred, but training can be given
A formal mechanical or electrical/engineering related qualification would be advantageous. Demonstrable analytical skills with sound problem solving ability
Good organisational skills, able to prioritise with strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to impart knowledge effectively to others
This role involves working at height using a variety of access equipment, so all technicians need to be comfortable working at heights
Flexible working shifts
This role will require your flexibility due to us being a 24/7 operation and therefore a shift pattern will be put in place that will require working a variety of days, evenings, weekends and this pattern can include some nights. This is essential so that we can work efficiently to meet the needs of our ICA partners in Sweden but should average up to 40 hours per week.
