Maintenance/Process Engineer
Maintenance Engineer, Facility/Testcells Maintenance for Volvo GTT Testing Facilities
What does maintenance mean to you? Fix old broken equipment to work for another week or ensure that a high-tech development department can deliver. We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer at Verification, testing & materials technology to help us lead and develop the maintenance of our existing and upcoming Testing laboratories. Facility and testcells maintenance are an important part of the development work to create conditions to develop the world’s best powertrains for trucks, buses, marine and construction equipment. Our team ensures laboratory performance and quality through our maintenance and service of equipment and all media systems for the complete Verification, testing & materials technology.
In your role as a Maintenance Engineer with focus on the testcells in our testing facilities for engine, transmission and electromobility testcells, you will be the main responsible for our maintenance support in this area. As we work team oriented, you will never standalone if you face challenges you fill that you need support to solve.
In cooperation with the laboratory staff you will be the one who drives the work to implement preventive maintenance and condition monitoring on sensitive equipment.
Facility process/testcell maintenance are in a focused phase of improving our preventive maintenance work to reach superior uptime in our testing’s facilities for engines, component, transmissions and electromobility testcells. We hope you are the one to join us!
Main Responsibilities
Ensure that we reach targeted availability levels and proper operating conditions for testcells in our testing facilities
Plan, manage and coordinate preventive/corrective maintenance in consultation with colleagues and customer / lab support organizations
Together with our maintenance mechanics perform installation, troubleshooting, service on Process / other rig equipment.
Develop, maintain routines and instructions for preventive maintenance of Process / other rig equipment to secure operation
Report and analyze maintenance work in our maintenance system
Participate in technical development work and investment projects within our responsible areas
Support and take part in root cause analysis
Monitor the operation and safety of all our media system with the help of our monitoring process system
Lead the work of hired service contractors and manage the procurement and follow-up of service services and spare parts
Risk assessments of the equipment and processes being used. Of course, this refers to staff safety and safety within the testing facility, but this can also extend outwards to include things such as the environmental impact
Budget responsibilities
Qualifications and Skills
University degree in Marine, Mechatronics or Mechanical engineering
Minimum 3 years’ Experience from the automotive industry or related industries
Experience from electrical or mechanical hands-on and problem-solving
Experience of iFIX or similar process monitoring systems
Well spoken and written Swedish and English
