Responsibilities
One of the primary tasks is planning and directing the audit. The auditor must ensure that the audit plan is robust, covering all necessary areas and aligning with the company's goals and objectives. The auditor needs to ensure that all activities related to the audit are performed efficiently and effectively by working closely with various stakeholders within the organization and make sure that the team has all the necessary information to carry out their tasks effectively.
Verifying the audit findings is another critical responsibility of the auditor. The auditor must then document the results in a clear and concise manner, providing a reliable record of the audit's findings and conclusions.
Beyond these primary tasks, the auditor is also expected to provide coaching and support for audit related issues. You are expected to guide and assist the audit team and other stakeholders throughout the audit process. If necessary, you are also responsible for escalating any issues or concerns that might arise during the audit.
Who you are?
In terms of the necessary skill set, then you must have a comprehensive understanding of the company's various business functions and relevant processes.
You should possess expert knowledge of our management system requirements and applicable ISO standards, specifically ISO9001 and ISO14001. Preferably, you should also be a certified internal auditor.
You should be proficient in using audit standards and be able to identify, assess, prioritize, and manage non-conformities.
Other necessary skills include problem-solving methods, data and document analysis for decision-making, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You need to have ability to communicate effectively in different contexts, both in written and spoken language.
You need to demonstrate a high level of strategic thinking and a strong drive for results. This implies understanding the bigger picture and making objective decisions based on the audit performed.
Ultimately, you must have the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
