We are now looking for a manager to our Analytical Development department in Malmö. PolyPeptide is expanding and this is a new and exciting position.

As the Manager Analytical Development you are confident as a leader and have a passion for development and new analytical techniques. You will lead a team of six highly skilled analytical chemists. The department is responsible for developing, and supporting, analytical methods to be used for release and in process control of peptide APIs. The department interacts with several parts of the organization in a support role and often plays an active role in root cause investigations. You will be part of the Development team and report to our Manager Development in Malmö.

About the role

As the manager of our Analytical Development department, your main responsibilities will be to:

- Lead the analytical development department at the PolyPeptide site in Malmö
- Be responsible for personnel within the department, including budget, objectives and salary setting
- Proactively lead development of new analytical techniques
- Participate in global innovation initiatives within analytical development
- Ensure timely delivery of project deliverables from the analytical development department
- Ensure professional and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Take the lead in representing the department in meetings with customers
- Contribute in internal and external project meetings


Qualifications

- MSc or PhD in Analytical Chemistry or related field
- >5 years experience from analytical development within the pharmaceutical industry
- Leadership experience from the pharmaceutical industry
- Innovative thinking in analytical development
- Commercial mindset
- Proactive mindset, understand and manage different requirements in customer projects
- Skills in resource management and estimations for project deliverables
- Clear and timely communication skills both in speaking and in writing
- Team player and good collaboration skills
- Experience from analytical techniques for pharmaceutical peptides (GMP/GLP) is a merit
- Experience from Quality Control is a merit
- Fluent in English, in speaking and in writing
