Our Offer Management and R&D department are frontrunners in the ongoing IT transformation of Sandvik Coromant and are now creating business and IT fusion teams – making IT an integral part of our business function. Right now, we’re looking for an Automation Platform Manager to play an essential part in our shift towards a more agile and digital organization. Your mission
In this position, your purpose is to lead and support the design automation engineers in developing and maintain our current and future automation platforms, depending on the data produced via the platforms you also support several other functions in the company. Your team includes one Application Product Owner and a group of about 15 skilled IT professionals working with and handling the automation platforms utilized by several business solutions. The team also makes sure that the platform solutions are built with a long-term, holistic and cost-efficient perspective. With agile ways of working, you ensure that necessary competence and capacity are in place – combined with other general managerial tasks.
In collaboration with your employees, you define, drive, and continuously improve our concepts and ways of working based on modern agile practices. You’re highly involved in stakeholder management – proactively planning and prioritizing. Together with the team and the Application Product Owner, you evolve the vision and mission, create the roadmap for developing capabilities to new performance levels, and support our strategic direction and initiatives. You also collaborate with internal and external suppliers to dynamically resolve short and long-term resources, users, and customers’ needs.
The location for this position is at our site in Sandviken, and you’re a key player in our management team for Business Solutions & Automation, that takes ownership of Offer Management and R&D business capabilities, IT and Automation.
Your profile
We’re looking for a leader – a forward-thinker with the ability to convey enthusiasm and to build trust. We think that you have an IT or engineering degree and experience within business development and IT, where you’ve acquired knowledge within project- or practices such as Scrum, Kanban and Lean. You’re engaged in the IT world and familiar with an agile way of working.
Your personal qualities are equally important, and in this role, a valuable asset is your inclusive and agile leadership skills. With an authentic management style, you act transparently and have the ability to stand firm in decisions when leading the way as well as getting all team members to feel appreciated, recognized and seen. Equally important is your ability to communicate in an inspiring way – to get your team and management on board. Your strategic mindset, stakeholder management skills, and strong business acumen are essential cornerstones to making you thrive and contribute to our further success.
