Our Market Operations department within E.ON Sverige in Malmö is looking for a Manager Back Office
Our future department Market Operations in Malmö will provide market access for the E.ON's sales and generation flows in Regional Unit Sweden. Main tasks include transaction of physical and financial trades using relevant market places and counterparties both on the short term and forward markets. The department will work closely together with Portfolio Management who will handle commodity risks inherent from regional unit Sweden in E.ON's Swedish business and our customers. This is a unit with a clear ambition to excel in what we do. We offer you the chance to shape and develop our team and business.

As a Manager Back Office you will be providing central energy market access in the forward area for the commercial management of E.ON’s sales, renewable and Combined Heat and Power portfolio in Nordic. Your responsibilities will include the identification of trading opportunities and the execution of standardized and structured external transactions in the forward markets for power, gas and other commodities to enable a risk-optimized Nordic portfolio. You will be collaborating across multiple E.ON Units and teams to support and facilitate commercial decision making and to identify new value adding business opportunities. A key function in your role will be to continuously develop the interfaces and processes with all commercial stakeholders.

Furthermore, you will be providing functional support, market know-how and price information to all stakeholders and advice on energy procurement and optimization strategies and their implementation in the markets. You will also be supporting the improvement and professionalization of the IT structure and front-to-end processes. You will continuously expand your market expertise in the area of energy commodities and share best practices across E.ON’s energy management organization.

In the context of the restructuring of the E.ON group, several functions and processes are being newly established and are currently in the design phase. As part of the project team, you will share responsibility for supporting the successful implementation of new IT systems and ensure their day 1 readiness. Furthermore, you will support in proactively shaping and building the new Forward Markets function, in close collaboration with all stakeholders in the E.ON units in Nordic. In your role, you will be a key driver to establish and gradually develop all future market channels for power, gas and other commodities in the Nordic market.


A university degree in engineering, mathematics, economics, or similar
Good knowledge of the Nordic energy sector and practical experience in the field of energy procurement/optimization
Expertise in the area of financial or commodity trading, energy markets and trading systems/processes
Good knowledge in IT systems as ETRM
Fluent in Swedish and very good English language skills. Command of German Language is seen as a plus
