The Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) is a policy institute that generates knowledge and informs decision-making towards a water wise world. SIWI conducts research, builds institutional capacity and provides advisory services in developing countries in areas related to water governance, transboundary water management in perspectives of for example climate change, energy and food and urbanisation. SIWI organises the World Water Week in Stockholm - the leading annual global meeting place on water and development issues - and hosts the Stockholm Water Prize and the Stockholm Junior Water Prize.
The office of the COO has the overarching responsibility for the programmatic work at SIWI, as well as the strategic development and resource mobilization to secure means of implementation.

The office of COO is currently looking for a Programme Manager to join their team.
Description of Duties:
Business Development/Resource Mobilization:
· Contribute to the development and implementation of business development across the organization as directed by the COO.
· Support the development of appropriate processes to ensure business development is undertaken SIWI-wide.
· Manage the Resource Mobilization Newsletter
· Collect and analyze data and information that are of relevance for SIWI’s long-term organizational growth and viability. This will include identifying and analyzing new strategic and programmatic opportunities/threats related to water governance.
· Collect and analyze data and information that provide basis for short-term project development opportunities. This includes monitoring and evaluating fundraising opportunities, proposals and partnerships.
· Monitor Devex and other sources (UN-Portal, EU-portal…) for new opportunities and support the coordination of SIWI response.
· Identification, follow-up and contribution to the development of project proposals and donor partnerships as directed by the COO and operational departments.
Support with uploading of proposals and submission of reports to relevant databases.
Supports COO and Operational Departments with pipeline follow-up and Q-reporting.
Partnership Management / Project Administration
Together with COO, serve as the coordinator of the Partnership with the Government of the Netherlands.
Serve as the administrative support for the ICWC (International Center for Water Cooperation) and its Board.
Together with COO, serve as the coordinator of the Partnership with the Government of the Netherlands.
Serve as IATI (International Aid Transparency Initiative) champion for SIWI. This includes collecting and uploading necessary data to the IATI database.
Work across the organization, seek synergies and liaise with the various team leaders of the SIWI departments.
Draft internal SIWI documents related to management of grants and upload to Siwilization.
Draft partnership agreements with other organizations in the case of consortium.
Contribute to the establishment and support maintenance of SIWI networks with partners/donors (Sida, UN-agencies, IFIs…).
Other responsibilities:
· Serve as the Cross-Cutting Issues champion for all 3 CCIs of SIWI by contributing to the work and maintain regular interaction with the 3 CCI focal points.
· Contribute to the planning, implementation and follow up of mainstreaming worshops.
· Organize and facilitate workshops/trainings for partners/donors as needed.
· Take part in relevant SIWI and Operational Departments meetings, contribute to institution wide development as and when required, contribute to the implementation of SIWI’s strategy.
· Contribute to the general administrative work of the COO Department and comply with SIWI requirements as specified in Code of Conduct, staff handbook and SIWI policies.
· Other activities and assignments as determined by COO.
· Undertake travel as and when needed.
· Contribute to the full range of SIWI activities.
Qualifications and experiences
To be successful in this role we believe that you have experience in resource mobilization and partnership building from other international organizations. You possess co-operative and organizational skills as well as administrative experience. We expect you to have the capacity to carry out tasks independently and have the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
Language skills
Proficiency in English and Swedish is required. Additional languages a benefit.
Start date
As soon as possible in 2023.
