The ideal candidate for this position is able to lead a small team of 4-5 data/system analysts & business solution experts to manage our business information systems and taking them to a next stage of providing comprehensive data and usable reporting from the data systems to a set of diverse users. The team is responsible for complete life cycle of data generation and outline critical information for the different stakeholders from existing systems as well as introducing and managing new systems from business information perspectives. The ideal candidate should be able to analyze business procedures and recommend specific types of data or processes that can be used to improve them by helping to create actionable reporting using technical acumen as well as business insights.
Responsibilities
· Manage a team of data analysts and business solutions experts
· Work with different stakeholders to prioritize business and information needs, be a bridge between the Operations IT and Global Purchasing function by translating the business needs into system requirements
· Create and execute a future road map for our existing systems including spend data, contracts data as well as our Ariba based integrated sourcing solution
· Prepare a road map and execute the automation of reporting needs in various parts of global purchasing
· Provide governance for various data systems
· Lead transition towards a new set up of business reporting focusing on sharp, actionable and automated reporting sets by implementing standards in data visualization and security
· Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines.
· Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements as well as spread its usage in the purchasing community
· Supporting different initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
· Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems
· Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems
· Training end users on different purchasing solutions
Qualifications and Skills:
· Proven working experience as a leader of data analysis, information system, business reporting or similar roles
· Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and visualisation
· Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks), Qlikview/Qliksense , Power BI etc
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
· Present findings, or translate the data into an understandable document. Easily communicate complex ideas.
· Strong leadership skills, capable to manage a diverse set of stakeholders in a global environment
· An educational background in Information systems or equivalent skills obtained via work experience are desirable
· Fluent in written and spoken English is mandatory, other languages are welcome
