Sandvik Coromant produces and delivers tools and tooling systems for the metal cutting industry. The Business Segments department at Sandvik Coromant is responsible for, among other things, identifying new customer needs within our core industry segments.The Business Segments department is a part of Product Management at Sandvik Coromant with the main focus on delivering complete solutions (i.e.products and application knowhow) for identified key components.The company is now looking for a manager for this function.Are you ready for an exciting, challenging career opportunity - one that rewards your ability to develop new business opportunities in close cooperation with our sales units, as well as with customers?Key performance areas As Manager for this department you will lead a group of four direct reports.Together, you will maintain and update a segment strategy for the areas Aerospace and Automotive, as well as for the Energy sector.Depending on how the market develops, new business segments might be added.Your main responsibilities for the department include to: -Identify customer needs and new opportunities within our core industry segments -Prioritize and initiate new development projects to meet demands -Communicate new solutions for key customer components -Cooperate with strategic customers to identify possibilities for joint development activities -Monitor, follow-up and communicate the results in relation to the business targets As manager for this department and competence area, you are responsible for the continuous development of your team as well as the way of working.Your profile We are looking for a candidate with an academic background from business administration and/or engineering.You have a couple of years of experience of marketing in a global environment preferably from the manufacturing industry.Professional experience of market research and metal cutting are advantageous.You are an experienced business-minded person, with strong interest in understanding customer needs and identifying our capability to supply value.You possess strong initiative and creative problem solving skills. You are a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.You can look at the business, not only in detail, but also with a view to the whole picture.This will naturally involve high-level relationships with key stakeholders and the ability to encourage others through strong communication skills.As a manager for this small but qualified team you are comfortable in your leadership, have natural seniority and well-developed interpersonal skills.The position involves a number of international contacts and business travel and, therefore, fluent spoken and written English is a requirement.
