Manager CAE Vehicle & Body NVH

The section Vehicle and Body NVH CAE is a part of the Noise and Vibration (N&V) Centre within Research & Development at Volvo Car Group. The N&V Centre has the responsibility to ensure that the attribute Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH) and Sound Quality is supported in the vehicle programs, both in terms of customer and legal requirements. Within the CAE section we have the responsibility for both Vehicle, Body and Gas Exchange NVH CAE from a complete vehicle perspective in car programs and advanced engineering projects. The team works integrated in all project phases, contributing with analysis and guidelines to improve the NVH attribute in Volvo cars.
We are looking for a Manager CAE Vehicle & Body NVH to lead and develop the Vehicle & Body NVH CAE team, including the employees located at Volvo Car Group sites abroad, to enable maximum staff utilisation, securing prerequisites and follow up including reporting results.
Main responsibilities
* Recruitment of new team members and securing competence development for all team members
* Responsible for Vehicle, Body and Gas exchange NVH CAE strategy
* Plan and manage the activities within the line organisation such as operational and method development
* Ensuring implementation of methods and processes to increase quality and efficiency within Noise & Vibration Centre and secure best practice and standardisation
* Ensure proper project staffing in vehicle, unit and advanced engineering projects including consultant on-site and bought capacity
* Leading and follow up of the development work in all phases, mentoring and coaching the team to deliver in time to the right cost and quality
* Being an active member of the Noise & Vibration Centre Management team
Required qualifications
* Master of Science or higher education in Mechanical/Vehicle Engineering or Engineering Physics or similar
* Minimum seven years professional experience
* Demonstrated leadership experience
* Knowledge in structural dynamics and engineering acoustics
* Solid experience in vehicle development
* Profound CAE knowledge
* Fluent in English, written and spoken

* Strong in communication, mentoring and interpersonal skills
* Highly driven and result focused with the ability to motivate and inspire
* Excellent ability to build contacts, both internally and externally at Volvo Cars
* Proven ability to drive change
* Business acumen
