Here is a golden opportunity within Manufacturing Engineering Industrialization, where we are looking for a new Team Manager who will be a part of Manufacturing Engineering Casting & Stamping, belonging to the Engineering & Operations unit.

Manufacturing Engineering Casting & Stamping is a global function with responsibility to launch new car programs and processes in Volvo Cars' plants as a part of Volvo Cars Manufacturing Engineering.
Our mission is to implement and commission foundries and machining lines for aluminum parts for new car models within Volvo Cars. The operative location for this role will be in Gothenburg but with team-members and responsibility for introductions in all our plants within Europe.

What you will do?
Your main tasks will be to lead, develop and manage the ME Casting & Stamping Industrialization team in Europe. We believe that you can organize work and resources so that company objectives, short and long-term are met in an efficient manner. You will also contribute as an active member in the Industrialization management team where you can bring in new ideas and reflections.
Our managers at Volvo Cars play a very important role as ambassadors both within the company and with external contacts. You will manage to implement common process equipment with focus on effective and quality secured production and robust equipment solutions. Utilizing assigned company resources effectively to add value to the business and/or support value creation activities in the business is important in this role.

Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for you who has a university level education and experience in process, product, tooling and equipment engineering work and production operations. You bring leadership skills in project management, leading diverse teams or previous working experience as a manager. To be successful in this role you need to have basic knowledge in high-pressure die casting and machining. For us it is essential that you are curious in learning more about how to set up robust and high performing process lines. Obtaining high integrity and a holistic view is key in this position.
You need to have the ability to create good long-term relationships with employees and other stakeholders. Fluency in English is required, both written and spoken and you also need to have the flexibility to travel.
