What we offer
An opportunity to utilize and further develop SW development and deployment leadership competence and skills by developing R&D Configuration Management standardized practice. We aim to evolve systematics of our Configuration Management process to be able to handle product evolution. Our products are electrified, connected and autonomous and frequently enhanced. To be part of addressing the need to clarify, simplify, and educate in our constantly evolving development system, we are now looking for a Manager – Configuration Management with the overall responsibility for this exciting and evolving area.
What you will do
You will be a leader for a team with responsibility to standardize the Configuration Management process within R&D in collaboration with development organisations. You will drive inventory of current practises and drive change management to align to new practises. You will collaborate tightly with Release Arenas while driving change across R&D and wider. As Configuration Management is supporting collaboration cross Volvo Cars disciplines during the lifecycle of our products, you are expected to act outside of R&D for the process deployment and evolvement.
• Establish a team that can create and deploy a standardized Configuration Management process
• Act as a process owner over time for R&D Configuration Management process
• Responsible for governance of releasable entities
• Responsible for development of R&D Configuration Management competence
• Drive deployment of standardized Configuration Management process in collaboration with key stakeholders
Your profile
We are looking for specific competence and experience from SW development and preferably Configuration Management.
You are a collaborative, communicative, curious, and result-oriented professional with experience from SW product development and deployment. You are a self-driven team player with leadership skills. You take responsibility and ownership but also knows when and how to delegate. You take a structured approach to your work and have relevant technical skills that you have successfully applied to complex engineering tasks in the past.
You actively seek inspiration to continuously improve your work methods. You share your know-how and expertise, contribute where you can, and you are also not afraid to ask for help when you need it. At the same time, you have no problem stating your own opinion, and setting high standards and expectations. We are a global team which means that the minimum language requirements are excellent English verbal and in writing.
