About this opportunity
Core Network Engineering Unit is responsible for Ericsson’s industry-leading Packet Core portfolio and solutions and is the foundation for Ericsson's technology leadership. PDU Packet Core is focused on securing our ongoing market leadership in Packet Core domain, taking a leadership position in 5G, and continuing to invest for sustainable technology leadership within a highly competitive market.
Reporting to the Head of System & Technology, you will be responsible for the Control Plane & Technology Evolution, a system department with responsibility for Mobility and Session Control Plane as well as Technology Evolution for the PDU. Units are located in Lindholmen and Shanghai.
System & Technology is newly reorganized, transforming from decentralized System Management to an S&T where System Manager and System Architects responsibilities and staff are brought together to create a single organization which has the competence and resources to secure the fulfillment of system level technical needs of our products.
As leader of the Control Plane & Technology Evolution department, you will be responsible for Mobility and Session Control Plane on E2E system level as well as the strategic System and Network Architecture work supporting PDU Technology Evolution. In addition, as a part of the S&T transformation you will be driving for maintaining and increasing presence in Feature and Product Flows in order to secure product quality and maintain in-depth product knowledge in S&T organization.

What you will do
As a key member of S&T’s leadership team, we will engage together to develop the organization's long-term strategy and visualize short-term goals, including maintaining and increasing presence in Feature and Product Flows in order to secure product quality and maintaining in-depth product knowledge in S&T. The measure of success of the team is how well we successfully lead change to implement PDU’s strategic targets.
You will be accountable for:
Capability, analysis in collaboration with System, Design, Test and Feature Programs
E2E Mobility and Session Control Plane on E2E System level
Strategic System and Network Architecture work supporting PDU Technology Evolution
Continuous competence build and provide competence input to the Architecture & Program Office as a part of Capability Management
You will bring
Sound product development experience and leading global development teams, with a demonstrated passion for development
Strong knowledge of the software industry to have the needed credibility with our teams, our customers, and suppliers
Experience in developing evolving technologies
Experience in strategy development and execution frameworks and working with OKR deployment
Relevant working experience
Desire to work with continuous improvement and to lead change
Leadership Requirements
The combination of strategic thinking, and at the same time detailed understanding of the project management craftmanship
