Arbetsbeskrivning
Powercell Sweden AB develops and distributes advanced fuel cell systems for the transport industry and certain other high-tech markets. The company was founded in 2008. The technology is based on a unique fuel cell design that was originally developed by Volvo. Furthermore, Powercell Sweden has developed a fuel processor that converts several different fuels and biofuels into hydrogen gas. Products based on fuel cells have considerable potential for both replacing several existing technologies and developing into an important electricity generator in the energy system. Powercell Sweden aims to offer the market environmentally optimised fuel cell-based systems that produce electricity (www.powercell.se). Manager in charge of development of control systems/software Powercell develops control system functions in Simulink and automatically generates codes for an in-house-developed Rapid Prototyping platform (National Instruments). We have considerable experience of the process to be managed and enjoy close cooperation with lab operations and system design. As manager of control systems/software, it will be your responsibility to ensure that we progress from our current situation to a smoothly functioning and thoroughly tested production code. Examples of work involved: Establish a robust development process for control systems/software, from requirement handling to software testing/verification. Understand the customer's needs and transform them into demands on the control system. Identify a suitable tool hierarchy. Define resource and expertise requirements and participate in recruitment/consultant hiring. Plan and secure resources, follow up the control system process and report to Powercell's technical director. Work together with sub-system managers of reformers and fuel cells and with the managers of the electronics and power electronics sections. Experience: We are looking for an applicant with experience from similar jobs, someone who knows what works and what does not. Bringing a new technology to the market requires appreciation of both early development (considerable flexibility) and product development (sharp focus on validation and product cost). Education: Master of Science in Engineering (Computer Engineering or Electronic Engineering). Personality: Energetic and keen person who wants to be involved in building up a team and a new operation. Please apply as soon as possible because we are continuously working with the selection process
