Manager Customization Engineering

We are now looking for a manager Customization Engineering at our production unit in Timrå. You play a crucial role to develop the quote/order engineering organization to better capture the business opportunity, handle user needs and risks, stay complaint as well as meet users with extra special needs in the best possible way. You will be the liaison between sales companies that are dependent on customized power wheelchairs and foster a close relationship and frequent transparent communication.
You will have 15 direct reports and you will report to the Director of Operations.

Key duties:

- As a senior leader, safeguard and develop the Health & Safety culture
- Lead the Permobil core values, User First, Trusted, Passionate and Leading by providing truly individualized power wheelchair solutions that out beat competition
- Develop customer/supplier relationships to provide leading customized power wheelchair solution that are specific to the users’ needs
- Responsible for service level and communication for quote/order process around power wheelchair customizations
- To establish a good understanding among all sales companies of the requirements on the MDR compliant process for power wheelchair customizations
- Coach and develop the customization team performance to continuously improve quality, delivery, and efficiency as well as profitability
- Drive and assess the EMEA business potential together with Sales Units, Marketing, QA Customization and your team
- Develop and implement strategies and targets in line with Permobil Lean System to be in constant motion, meeting future needs of the business
- Drive ease of making business in the Customization Quote process and make previously provide customizations accessible, visualized and marketable
- Lead, together with you team and other relevant parties, the creation of customized building blocks that speeds up the quote and order process as well as the value creation process
- To continuously collect and analyse repetitive customization designs for drive further industrialization and efficiency in the value creation process
- When appropriate or necessary leads cross-functional teams in the implementation of major improvement initiatives (projects)


Your Profile:

- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field and at least 5 years work experience in production, engineering/technical or related field.
- Leadership experience and experience of implementing/leading projects across multiple groups.
- Strong knowledge in assembly production and Lean production philosophy
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
