DeLaval is the market leader in milking equipment employing 4 600 people in more than 100 markets.Our dairy farming partners benefit from over 125 years industry experience, sharing complete solutions with trusted local support and service.Our research and development programmes ensure that farmers can rely on DeLaval to help them preserve cow health and support the production of quality milk.DeLaval is a company of the Tetra Laval Group.Do you see the values of combining advanced technology with living animals and humans?And would you like to work in the countryside only 25 min from central Stockholm?Then we can offer you the role as Manager for the DeLaval Dairy Farm System Architecture.We are working within the field of developing, creating and maintaining the Dairy Farm Management and Automation products for the DeLaval solutions.The product area Milking Systems provide solutions which includes sensor technology, automation, real time control, database, management and expert system.The Farm System Architect will drive the integration of the products within this area and coordinate with other product portfolios within the group.The systems range from relatively small to more complex systems.The aim is to have most of them to interact in one architecture.As a Manager for the Dairy Farm System Architecture you work with our complete offering of automated and integrated solution with the following responsibility: * Own, maintain and further develop the DeLaval farm system architecture (including interfaces).* Draw up an architecture development plan (1-3 year), showing the steps to be taken in further developing our system platform and capabilities.* Ensure that the functional design in the feasibility and design phase follows the system architecture.Contribute to the development of the system feasibility and design specifications.* Support to product managers when they define DeLaval product road maps, including coordinating with the architecture development plan.* Coordinate the operational system architecture development work.* Coordinate the architecture group.* Coordinate the monitoring of new technology.* Monitor standards and contribute to their development (for example ISO).The work is performed in close co operation with all parts of the organisation.Some international traveling will be required.Qualifications: * University degree.* Long working experience with product and system development, preferably both large and small systems.At least 5 years as system engineer or system architect.* Familiar with Object Oriented Design and UML.* Good understanding of application software, embedded software, electronics and mechanics.* Fluent in English, writing as well as speaking.Knowledge and skills: * Ability to influence at all levels in the company and ability to build trust and confidence.* Goal- and action-oriented with high energy - self-starter.* Technically strong with clear business and customer focus.* Good communicator on all levels, with specific ability to communicate technical and architectural issues to management and peers, in a manner that encourages understanding.* Structured and with capability to deal with details should it be needed.If you think this position is interesting, you are welcome to send your application!
