About the role
The Manager Discrete Manufacturing Reliability is accountable for the continuous improvement of the asset management and maintenance strategies across all Discrete Manufacturing (DM) Centres and their satellites sites (22 sites in 19 different countries).
Working with site production and maintenance teams as well as other support groups (SHES, Manufacturing Technology, Capital Project), the incumbent coaches the site’s personnel to implement best in class asset management practices with the ultimate goal to operate Orica assets safely and reliably to achieve the best return on investment for Orica.


Key Accountabilities
· Ensure the safety, health, environmental and security procedures are understood and adhered to by all site Maintenance and Engineering Teams.
· Define DM sites asset and work management implementation models based on associated 3-years plan.
· Support site improving work management practice to increase equipment OEE performance and maintenance team efficiency.
· Define maintenance work management and plant reliability KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
· Lead the DM Maintenance planning “Community of Practise” (CoP)
· Ensure appropriately qualified and trained Responsible Engineers are in place to perform professional work as required.
· Define training needs and support the development of training materials for the site’s maintenance and engineering team.
· SAP-PM subject matter expert supporting sites using the tools to continuously improve asset reliability using SAP-PM.


Critical Experience and Qualifications
· At least 4 + years of qualified work within Orica or similar business
· 4-year Engineering degree or equivalent.
· 5 + years’ experience in manufacturing industries.
· Minimum 3 years previous Reliability/Maintenance Engineer or Superintendent experience
· High level SAP PM skills – key user level
· At least 5 years' experience of working for an international company, preferably experience of having worked abroad
· Fluent English in speech and writing
